If you are seeing an environmental event that may lead to an immediate threat to human health or the environment, call 911, then report it to the National Response Center at 800-424-8802. Pollution Emergency

An environmental emergency is a sudden threat to the public health or the well-being of the environment from the release or potential release of oil, radioactive materials, or hazardous chemicals into the air, land, or water. Report environmental emergencies to Michigan’s Pollution Emergency Alert System (PEAS) Hotline at 800-292-4706.  This hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Learn more:
